Oktoberfest was a hot event on Sunday 24 October even the mercury hit 37o C at  The NausHaus,  Tewantin.

 

42 Members and Guests attended including  Noosa's newest restaurateur Matteo and his lovely wife Dieuwke from  Lucio's Marina. The committee were industrious in their themeing and you could be mistaken to think it was the Set for “The Sound of Music” or for the older folk, The German Pavilion at Expo 88.

 

Festivities began at 12.30 and we were warmly welcomed by our Bailli Leon who read the Toast in German. The Menu was Traditional and enjoyed by all, Chef Raymond completed the meal with his magnificent Black Forest Cakes.

 

To add to the atmosphere Bindy engaged an accordionist to play traditional German music. He did well on such a hot afternoon.

 

Beer (Kindly donated by Boiling Pot Brewery) and Rose were the beverages of choice and festivities lingered on to Sunset.
