Bastille Day @ Frenchies Brasserie Noosa
It was great to get together for our Bastille Luncheon at Frenchies Brasserie Noosa, on the 18th July. It had been some months since we had been together in person which was the 13th March to celebrate Léon’s 70th birthday.
Due to Covid, luncheon guests were restricted to 20, so we ensured we had the maximum attending. Despite no hugging or kissing we were all excited to see each other again. Members swapped seats between courses to catch up with one another, thus highlighting La Chain’s special camaraderie that exists between the members.
We would like to say a sincere thank you to Simone who accompanied Léon on several restaurant visits to ensure the menu was first class and Covid compliant restrictions were strictly adhered to. I also would like to thank Eileen, the restaurant manager, and Head Chef Fabian for tantalising our taste buds with a wonderful four course French bistro cuisine menu, complimented with well-chosen wines and included a pre luncheon glass of sparkling Madame Coco blanc de blanc with cheese Gaugères (French cheese puffs) which were delicious.
Some of us didn’t want the get together to end, so celebrations continued in the outdoor bar area -what fun!
Until next time…
