Caviar Lunch
An AMAZING Inaugural Caviar Lunch held by La Chaine des Rotisseurs South Australia
Thank you to our amazing chefs Kim, Mona & Hamish and generous hosts Norm and Serena.
The lunch began with vodka shots with canapes, caviar and smoked salmon and asparagus mousse on crostini.
The tables were set with beautiful candelabras and crockery. Our first course was the tin of caviar presented in fine bone China teacups with traditional garnishes on the matching side plates and pearl spoons. This was served with champagne from a magnum.
We were then presented a traditional steak tartare with a quail yoke in the centre and again we went for the traditional garnishes served on delightful crockery.
The duck was served with a delicious Australian Pinot Noir and the Lemon Tart with a lovely Two Hands Briliant Disguise 2008 Moscato from Barossa Valley.
The Cheese had beautiful glace fruits served with our Chaine Barrel Port & Sherry.
Just to top off the menu a Loto Cakery honey cake was presented, and slithers served with a little cream fraiche.
The lunch continued into the evening with guests sipping champagne and enjoying a cigar.
