Dear Members,

 

It is with much regret that, as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, I have to advise that the Board of Directors of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs has decided it is again necessary to postpone the International Grand Chapitre.

The new dates are now scheduled to be in 2021: from Thursday, June 17th - Saturday June 19th. By this time hopefully the pandemic will have receded into being nothing but a bad memory so that we can all gather around an international table to break the proverbial bread and share the camaraderie of the Chaîne.

Lyon in France remains the venue as initially planned for September and then November this year. Full details regarding the three-day event will be available in good time early in the New Year.

Meanwhile, we are working on how best we can uphold our statutory obligations for 2020. In particular, the examination and approval of the financial statements for the year 2019 and ensure that disruption to the annual decision-making process caused by this cancellation is negated.

Thank you for your understanding, patience and support. Rest assured that everything is being done to ensure that the new programme not only goes ahead but will also meet your expectations.

The great wish of course is that the pandemic ends sooner rather than later so that we can all meet again in our Bailliages around the world, most importantly in good health and in a safe way.
